Mid-Harbor Launch bought back Mid-Harbor Moorings. Both companies back as one, as it started in 1992. Mid-Harbor Moorings will be providing mooring service on Marblehead’s West Shore only and will bring the quality of mooring service up to the same dependable service you have had with Mid-Harbor Launch Service. Here is what you need to know!
Our well trained office staff is always available to answer your questions. We recognize how important it is to be available for our customers and are confident that you will find this a great improvement over past years.
1) We are the only mooring company that exclusively works on the West Shore. That means we are here to help YOU if there are any problems or concerns. All you need to do is call us or let a launch driver know what the problem is and we’ll take care of it.
2) YES! As we are the only launch & mooring company on the West Shore we are offering a special “launch and mooring” price package to our customers.

Launch Date Notification Form: Let us know your plans. Complete this form, and help us prepare for your boats arrival. In the Spring; To insure that your mooring has been properly serviced, we ask that you give us a notice at least two weeks before you expect to launch your boat and arrive at your mooring. In the Fall; we ask that you let us know when you are off the mooring so that we can remove your pennants. Please remember to remove your pickup buoy prior to your departure. We will charge a $40.00 storage fee for storing pick up buoys over the winter.

2010 MOORING PLANS
Mid-Harbor Moorings has three options for boaters in need of a mooring on Marblehead’s West Shore. You may purchase a mooring, rent a mooring or enroll in our Lease to Own plan. Each plan has its own merits and one will surely fit your situation.
For those boat owners who already have a mooring, we offer annual mooring service. Don’t forget to ask about our mooring and launch package for additional savings!
MOORING OPTIONS
Mooring Purchase is for boaters who want to own their own mooring equipment. Mid-Harbor Mooring’s prices have been the best value in the harbor for many seasons. A purchase price includes Fall mooring service for the first season. Thereafter, our annual mooring service is highly recommended for the safety of your boat. (See annual service description below.)
Mooring Rental is ideal for the boater who is new to the area and not sure they want to purchase a mooring. This option is also good for the boater who will be only keeping their boat in the area for a short period of time - less than three years. Rental gear availability is limited.
Mooring Lease to Own (Three year purchase) is for the boater who would like to own their mooring but wishes to break the payments into 3 annual installments. Our lease includes annual mooring service through the fall of the final payment & replacement of the mooring's top chain in the spring of that year as required by the Harbormaster's Office.
MOORING SERVICE
Annual Mooring Service includes both Spring and Fall Service. ($185.00)
Spring Service
- Inspection and cleaning of chain to the middle connection. Also includes a complete mooring inspection for new customers and then as required by the Harbormaster.
- Cleaning and re-numbering of the mooring buoy
- Chain and Shackle replacement if required (Does not include materials costs, which are competitively priced.)
- Installation of mooring pennants
- Add $50 for cleaning pennants left on over the winter.
Fall Service
- Removal, pressure wash, year-end inspection and winter storage of mooring pennants
- Cleaning and re-numbering of buoys
- Cleaning of mooring chain
- Inspections of shackle connections
Mooring Permit Fee
The boat owner is responsible for a mooring permit fee to the city or town where your boat is moored. Contact the Marblehead Harbormaster .
